HOW CAN I PAY THE EXCURSIONS?
We offer you either the possibility to pay in advance with a bank transfer - once we have sent you the confirmation - or to pay cash on the spot before the excursion (we kindly request you to bring the exact amount, because the tour guide may not have change for all):
1. PAYMENT BY BANK TRANSFER:
You can select this option if you book 15 days before your departure, the transfer must be at least a week before your departure.
2. PAYMENT IN CASH:
You pay on your first shore excursion in euros
3. BY CREDIT CARD:
Select the option of cash payment, then send an e-mail or fax with the Credit Card Authorization Form. We accept Visa and Mastercard, no American Express.
Please read carefully the Terms and Conditions of the contract (conditions, guarantee, cancellation rules…. In order to send the request of booking you will have to accept them.
WHY DO I HAVE TO GIVE MY CREDIT CARD DETAILS FOR THE BOOKING REQUEST?
You won´t make any payment with your credit card and you don´t have to introduce your CVV code, which is necessary for any online payment
To guarantee your reservation your credit card details are required, this is a simple and common measure for online procedures. Your personal data and your credit card information is sent through a secure server which encrypts all your personal and credit card details.
We have the standard encryption method used by the online industry which is the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology (also used by Expedia, Booking, etc).
We also use a firewall to protect our network against unauthorized access.
Moreover, your information will be erased automatically after you finish your travel. Only in the case of No-Show (non arrival without prior cancellation) we will charge the full amount according to the international bank regulations, as indicated in the Terms and Conditions
PORTS FEES ARE INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
Our agency is handling everything, therefore taxes are already included in the prices shown in our website. No additional costs. Professionalism, openness and full availability to your concerns are the main characteristics of our services
HOW TO BOOK
Once you have selected the excursions you wish to do, you’ll log in our section protected with SSL (Secure Sockets Layer ) protocols. Enter your information and send the booking request. It will take you around two minutes.
Once you have submitted your request, you will automatically receive an email with the confirmation that we have got your message.
As soon as the groups are formed and we have organized the buses for the excursion, you will get an email with the confirmation of the excursion.
One week before the departure of your cruise, we will send you an email with a voucher containing all the confirmed excursions and the most important information (time and place of the meeting, contact number, bus, etc)
WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY EXCURSIONS?
We suggest you to reserve as soon as possible. When you have decided on your itinerary and excursions, make your reservation: you’ll help us to form group faster and insure to take part of it within time limit
DOES ANCORA TOURS FORM GROUPS?
We accept all the requests in order to have as many people as possible in our excursions, and we form the groups for each cruise and each destination.
If you already have a group - either of 6,8 or 50 persons - and you want an exclusive excursion for yourselves, please visit our section for the Private Excursions where you can request not only your excursion, but any other service that you may need.
DOES ÁNCORA TOURS HAVE AN INSURANCE POLICY?
Yes, in the Italian regulations establish that the tour/travel agencies must have an insurance policy. Without it, is not possible to open the agency. Our travel insurance policy number is 300036520 of the company Generali
WHAT KIND OF INSURANCE IS IT?
This compulsory insurance of civil liability covers the risks and protects the tourists while being involved in activities with the travel agency.
IF I BOOK WITH YOU IS THERE A RISK TO MISS MY SHIP?
Absolutely not. We have never had any problem over the years. We will have you back to the port in plenty of time prior to the ship's departure. Our tour guides and drivers are professionals with a broad local knowledge, selected for their reliability.
In case of any problem, we will be in contact with them. In any case both the insurance company Generali and our agency, will assume full responsibility for any moral or economic obligation. If is necessary we will take you to your next port without extra cost.
WHERE WIIL WE FIND THE BUSES?
Our staff and the buses will be waiting with a sign with our name. In some port you will have to use a shuttle bus to reach the parking place of our bus. But don’t worry some days before your departure we will send you an email with these details.
AT WHAT TIME WILL THE BUSES BE WAITING FOR US?
The bus will be waiting early in the morning, according to the time the ship arrives to the pier. We advise you to be among the firsts to get off the boat. The sooner the group gets to the bus, the sooner the excursion will start. Our bus and the staff will wait, but in case of excessive unjustified and in case we don’t have any news from you (keep your mobile on!) we will start the shore excursion.
DO I HAVE BOOK SEPARATE SEAT FOR MY CHILDREN?
If your children are under 2 years old, they can sit on your lap without paying. As soon as your children reaches their second birthday, you’ll need to book them their own seat at the normal price.
COULD WE SPEAK IN ENGLISH WITH DRIVERS?
Our drivers speak their own language but since they have been working for several years with tourists, therefore they can help you you’re your doubts. Nevertheless you shall always count with English speaking guides to assist you. You can always call us at 0039-3928056631 even during the shore excursion.
HOW ARE THE BUSES?
Our buses are all new, clean with air conditioned and all the required permits to enter at the ports and in the city centers.
Due to the short time available, we have planned carefully every itinerary with the help of our tour guides and drivers, each of them are professionals that know the cities very well. We have also taken into account our clients suggestions received over the years.
Our official guides will explain you the history behind the squares, churches, monuments, so you can enjoy the main attractions at the cities. We have carefully selected over the years all of our guides. They have their official license and they speak English.

ACHIVEMENT OF MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTECIPANTS
Our service is subject to the achivement of minimum number of partecipants: failure to reach the number of partecipants means the cancelation of the service.
FRUITION OF SERVICE
It's possible to join our shore excursions by:
1. Join in a group formed by all the requests received. We form groups for each cruise and each destination;
2. Private Excursions: asking for a personalized service for two or more people. Private Excursions does not demand the minimum number of partecipants

ENTRANCE'S FEES are not included in price:
any extra fees are shown in the description of your shore excursion. FOOD AND BEVARAGE are not included too.
Please note that the Dress Code is strictly enforced in holy places and some monuments: no shorts, bare shoulders or miniskirts. Even if you get through security, you will be turned away by the attendants at the door. No umbrellas or sharp-pointed objects neither.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Hat, sunglasses and sunscreen for the summer.
