Kotor and Budva Shore Excursion: Though no longer Europe’s best-kept secret, the medieval Old Port of Kotor is a undisputed jewel in the Adriatic Sea.  First colonized by the Greeks, Kotor gained  importance during the twelfth century, this little country generate a big interest and was in fact conquered many times: from the Serb, Austro-Hungarian and Bosnian hands to the Venetians.  Our shore excursion in Kotor includes the best of the city.

What's eating: Krap : Smoked and fresh carp, from Skadar lake. Čorbast Pasulj - Bean stew with smoked ribs and various types of salami and sausages. Ćevapi or ćevapčići a grilled dish of minced meat, a type of kebab
Souvenir: A bottle of one famous Montenegrin wine: "Vranac", "Pro Corde", "Krstac", "Cabernet", "Chardonnay"

Code Dress: Please note the Dress Code recommended to enter any church. No shorts, bare shoulders or miniskirts. This applies to both men and women. Comfortable walking shoes and sunscreen are recommended

SHORE EXCURSION IN KOTOR AND BUDVA

We leave the port of Kotor by coach to Budva. We will reach the city in about 40 minutes. The city, surrounded by walls of defense, is an urban and architectural gem, and its narrow, winding streets, squares, churches and forts offer a really impressive spectacle.
At the end of our guided tour through the old town of Budva, we will return to our bus to go back to Kotor, for a guided tour of Kotor,too. In this shore excursion we will see the main monuments such as the Roman Catholic Cathedral of St. Tryphon, that we will visit inside, the Orthodox Church of St. Luke, the Gurdić Bastion, the Grgurina Palace, an eighteenth century’s building, and now the house of  the Maritime Museum and finally the Church of Santa Maria.
At the end of the shore excursion, we will return to the port for boarding.
