SHORE EXCURSION IN RIGA
We will leave the port by coach to reach the city center of Riga . We will start our tour in the spectacular historic center that was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. We will admire St. Peter's Church , the Riga Cathedral , the Church of Santiago , the Opera , the University and the Park Rigay Bastejkalns . Not far, in the Maza Pils Iela , we will find one of the most picturesque part of Riga : the so-called " Three Brothers Houses " , three buildings built according to different architectural styles, dating from the fifteenth century onwards , and the Museum of ' Architecture . We would admire the splendid facade of the so-called “Black Heads House” , an house of the fourteenth century , completely rebuilt after the bombings of World War II , and the Monument of Liberty , one of the Latvian capital landmarks . Finally, we will admire the Riga’s Castle ( outside ) , built by the religious order of the Livonian and today the official residence of the President of the Republic of Latvia .
After the tour we will return to the port for boarding.
