SHORE EXCURSION SPARTA AND MISTRAS

We will leave the port to go by bus in direction of Mystra (50 minutes), a major tourist destination, UNESCO World Heritage Site. During our excursion of Mystras, we will visit the Temples Kristóforos Agios, Agios Nikolaos and Agios Georgios, one of the finest examples of funerary chapel of Mystras, the Palace of Mystras and the Church of Agios Dimitrios.
After the visit we will depart towards Sparta (15 minutes by bus), a city known for being the cradle of the brave Spartan army and the kingdom of Menelaus, husband of the beautiful and historical Helen of Troy. We will stop at Town Square, where we will have free time to take a stroll and have a lunch. After that, we will go back to the bus that will take us back to the harbor.
