What's eating: Moussaka: an oven-baked layer dish: ground meat and eggplant casserole, topped with a savory custard which is then browned in the oven.

Code Dress: Please note the Dress Code recommended to enter any church. No shorts, bare shoulders or miniskirts. This applies to both men and women. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended

SHORE EXCURSION OLYMPIA (KATAKOLON PORT)

Starting from Katakolon, we will visit the museum and the important archaeological site of Olympia (which we will reach in about 40 minutes) : a Greek sacred place where the ancient Olympic Games were born. In the archaeological site you will find: the Temple of Zeus , Temple of Hera, the Gymnasium , the Hippodrome , the stadium . In this symbolic place where the Olympic flame is still lit every four years. During the visit of Olympia, the guide will explain us the fascinating history of these games which were not only athletic a celebration, but also had a religious meaning. The museum contains objects excavated from the Sacred Enclosure of Altis , the sculptural decoration of the temple of Zeus , the most important example of Greek art, the statue of Nike from Paionios and the richest collection of bronzes  in the world.
After the tour , we will return to the port for boarding.
