SHORE EXCURSION IN SICILY: TRAPANI
From Trapani we will drive to Segesta. After about 35 minutes we will arrive at the Monte Barbaro, a hill about 400 meters with a beautiful view of the sea. We will visit the archaeological area of Segesta, with the Theater, built in the third century. AC., and later rebuilt by the Romans, and a magnificent temple of the fifth century BC, perfectly preserved and which offers, among other things, a great view, close to the sea.

Afterwards we'll continue our shore excursion driving to Erice (about 50 minutes), where we will take a walk around the medieval city, clean and quiet, placed on a cliff 751 meters above sea level. Founded in the fifth century BC, Erice was conquered by the Romans in 241 BC Currently, and nowadays the city shows its medieval form. The main attractions are the Norman gates of the city, Umberto I square, the Balio Gardens, the "Venus Castle" and the Cathedral of the Assumption. After the excursion we will drive back to the port (about 35 minutes).
